Goblin slayer is my whipping boy here but it’s not alone in using violent atrocities, misogynist ones especially, to give entire races their “really actually evil” credentials, so the audience can feel justified putting aside moral compunctions and cheering for genocidal crusaders. Fantasy dudebros aren’t as mask up as they think when they loudly cheer for “purging elves” or whatever and the writers also aren’t slick with how much effort they put into writing that into a realm of moral acceptability.
Any SFF that has any kind of “inherently evil” race or species should be regarded with EXTREAM SUSPICION. The fundamental notion that biology and genetics give rise to moral and immoral races is waaaaay gross.

What is or isn’t a slur can be highly contextual, y'all.
“Jonny Sims bummed a fag off my ma” doesn’t contain a slur, but “What are you, some kind of fag?” does.
“Queer studies”, “the queer community” and “I’m queer”? Not a slur. Some bigot calling you a “dirty queer”? Slur.
“Be gay, do crimes” and “He’s gay” ≠ slur, but “Ew, that’s so gay” = slur.
